I'll be around the Journal of Aesthetics & Protest table in the "Friendly Fire" section of this great annual event, organized by the artists' bookstore Printed Matter. (They're also releasing a catalogue of their show about the art group Colab, which I participated in.) Preview is on Thursday, Sept. 17, 6-9pm. I list here only the public dates. A seminar on archiving the squatting movement is scheduled with the Interference Archive on three dates and times. Tuesday, Sept. 22 7-9pm; Wednesday, Sept. 23 7-9pm; Sunday, Sept. 27 12-6pm. A catalogue of the epochal San Francisco exhibition that cried out against the ferocious gentrification of that city by dot-com workers. "A massive anti-gentrification art fair that took place in venues throughout the city," writer Erick Lyle (of the zine SCAM) will present the Streetopia project.
